BOSS Breakfast Series

The mission of the BOSS Breakfast Series it to provide business owners information toward a systematic approach to succession and exiting of the business.  We start with looking at the business owner and end with the various exit options available.  This monthly series will take the business owner through the process of preparing themselves and the business for an successful exit.  

Who Should Attend

Business owners looking to improve on their business with an eye toward building their business with transferrable value which can be built to sell.  The business owner does not need to have a current plan to succeed or exit their business to optimize their business for a successful exit. The business owner should have the “freedom of choice”. 

EVENT INFORMATION

  • Where: Town Center City Club 222 Central Park Ave #230, Virginia Beach, VA 23462

  • Date: February 7, 2023 (each session will be the 1st Tuesday of the month)

  • Time: 7:30 am breakfast buffet will open.  Presentation begins promptly at 8:00 am and will end at promptly at 9:00 am

  • Cost: $25 per business owner

  • Seating Limit: 30 business owners for the February session.  Future monthly sessions will be limited to 15 to 20 business owners.

BREAKFAST TOPICS

  1. February 7, 2023 — First session will provide an overview and introduction of the overall process to successfully succeed and exit your business.

  2. March 7, 2023 (1st Tuesday) – Personal Assessment.  The business is there to serve the needs of the business owner (BOSS) so we focus on you the owner and your personal assessment and readiness to succeeding and transferring the business.  Our Presenter will be Burr Henderson, IV with Truist Wealth. Burr will discuss the importance of non-business assets in living the lifestyle you want.

  3. April 4, 2023 (1st Tuesday) – Business Valuation.  What is going to fill the personal wealth gap for the business owner at the time of succession? The business value at the time of transistion.  The business owner needs to understand the starting point of the business value to understand where the business value needs to grow to you.  Our presenter will be Gary W. Baum with Acuity Valuation. Gary will discuss valuation methods, rules of thumbs and the components that affect the valuation process.
